Born in England, John was impacted by the art and architecture throughout Europe and later earned his BFA at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Metal Work and Jewelry design.

Upon completion of his formal education, John joined Polich Art Works, giving him the opportunity to work on pieces by such artists as Frank Stella, Louise Bourgeois, Kiki Smith, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Richard Pettibone, Stephen de Staebler, and Frank Gehry, fueling his desire to learn new techniques and work with a variety of mediums.

This experience, combined with John's more recent time at the Berkeley Artworks Foundry & John Lewis Glass has furthered John's exposure to the art and craft behind design enabling him to share his own artistic voice and vision.
