Originally from Massachusetts,  David first moved to New York to study sculpture as an undergraduate before heading to San Francisco to pursue a Masters in Fine Art in 2004.

After spending a few years working on public art projects across the Bay Area, David started a metal shop in the Dogpatch of San Francisco, focusing on custom metal fabrication with heightened design elements.

In 2014, he created ShopFloor Design to merge his sculptural background with design. David's work is minimal in nature, meant to be viewed from every angle and incorporated into the space in which it inhabits.

David works in all metals, integrating other materials such as wood, glass, and concrete to fit the vision and purpose of each design.
